Our Government client is looking to hire an Instructional Designer into their broader L&D team to design effective learning solutions and create online training using a variety of online/digital tools.  Reporting directly to the L&D Manager you will be dedicated to a high priority  project that touches every employee. You will be a mature, high performer who can work independently and who can deliver quality solutions.   To be a successful applicant, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an Instructional Designer role
  • Experience in cloud based learning management solutions, PowerPoint and other visual learning tools
  • A strong understanding of L&D’s role within change projects
  • Previous experience of change management techniques as part of training
  • Experience rolling out on-boarding training to teams
  • A positive and can-do attitude

  The role consists of the following duties:

  • Consult with a variety of stakeholders to assess needs and agree plan to deliver learning solutions and / or products.
  • Design and develop digital learning products and solutions for a variety of stakeholders, using a variety of tools.
  • Develop a suite of activities/assessments ranked as key focus areas
  • Scope, write and design training materials to train end users in various programs, including quick reference guides, eLearning, lesson plans and training manuals.
  • Develop mandatory and compliance learning requirements for new and existing employees, so they are safe, confident and proficient with their role responsibilities
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders or subject matter experts, clearly identify the job requirements, policies and procedures and role specific tasks that need to be developed
  • Craft engaging learning activities, compelling content and where required, role specific assessments
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc) for the induction program, and any other Academy courses.

This is an initial 6-month contract role with a daily rate of $750 plus super with an immediate start for the right candidate.
