The Technology Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This is a senior role and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.
Project examples – OOB Network, ITSM, FY26 Network LCM, Radios LCM

Key Responsibilities
The role of the Technology Infrastructure Project Manager focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible including:

  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Coordinating staff and internal/external resources (Managed Services Provider)
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Managing project financials
  • Managing relationships with clients, vendors and stakeholders
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Participating in RFQ process i.e. design, submission and review if applicable
  • Designing risk mitigation plan
  • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
  • Optimising and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Managing large and diverse teams

 
Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Project Management qualifications mandatory (Prince2, PMBOK, PMP, AIPM, CPPP…)
  • Five+ years’ experience of Technology Infrastructure Project Management within complex organisations (Tier 1 or 2)
  • Experience working in Technology Facilities (Data Centres, data cabling systems, power inc UPS units), Network switch & Firewall LCM, OS Upgrades, WiFi including installations and troubleshooting.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of motivating high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools/software
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges.
  • Experience in managing vendors as part of the project’s delivery
  • Report on the initiative progress within program of work against delivery, quality, cost and time commitments
  • Implement, monitor and report on project activities including milestone delivery, resource allocation, issue management, risk management and mitigation
