Are you ready to lead a skilled technical team and take ownership of critical cloud and infrastructure platforms? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud & Infrastructure Platform Manager to drive innovation, reliability, and operational excellence across cloud, data centre, and infrastructure environments.

Contract Duration- 3 Months
Location- Brisbane CBD

About the Role You’ll lead and manage the lifecycle, performance, and direction of a wide range of platforms, including:

• Public Cloud (Azure/AWS)
• Data Centre Hardware & Facilities
• Compute, Storage & Virtualisation Platforms
• Network & Security Infrastructure
• Windows & Linux OS
• Monitoring & Alerting Systems

You’ll also play a central role in managing budgets, vendors, cyber security alignment, and incident recovery – ensuring high availability across a mission-critical environment.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of platform engineers
• Ensure operational reliability, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation
• Develop and maintain 5-year strategic roadmaps and annual operational plans
• Manage lifecycle upgrades and hardware/software transformations
• Drive adoption of ITIL and Agile practices
• Act as Major Incident Manager during critical outages and service disruptions
• Maintain compliance with the Australian Energy Sector Cyber Security Framework (AESCSF)
• Deliver effective budget forecasting, OPEX tracking, vendor engagement and contract management

What You Bring

• Extensive experience in IT operations, platform management, and team leadership
• Deep technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure and cloud ecosystems
• Proven success in major upgrades, IT transformations, and critical incident recovery
• Strong knowledge of virtualisation, compute/storage/network environments
• Solid grasp of IT service management (ITIL), operational risk, and Agile methodologies
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar OPEX budgets and vendor contracts
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
