About the role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to assist in the daily management of IT security operational services and maintaining systems managed by the cyber security team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and analysis of security events from multiple sources for supporting computer IT infrastructure defences, to include auditing the network for vulnerabilities, identifying relevant threats, recommending corrective actions, developing solutions for security issues, and investigating security incidents and breaches.
  • Developing and implementing solutions to address critical information security issues and manage crisis/incident response.
  • Documenting and management of actions taken for audits, regulatory and legal purposes.
  • Investigating the latest in security vulnerabilities, advisories, incidents, and penetration techniques and notify client when appropriate.
  • Providing analysis of potential risk to information security management and recommends solutions.
  • Providing technical services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions.
  • Monitoring and assesses vendors and 3rd parties information security reports/lists.
  • Selecting methods and techniques for identifying and advocating effective security solutions both internally and externally.
  • Assisting with vulnerability remediation activities for applications/systems with business stakeholders, 3rd party vendors and/or the Technology team.

Required skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • 3+ years of work experience in information security, particularly in a technical role.
  • 3+ years of past experience in a role on a Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) or a Security Operations Centre (SOC) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with security analysis, forensics, incident response, vulnerability assessment.
  • Experience assisting the development and maintenance of tools, procedures, and documentation.
  • Experience with reviewing raw log files, data correlation, and analysis (i.e. firewall, network flow, intrusion detection systems, system logs).
  • Strong background in Windows system administration. 
  • BE / B. Tech / MCA or relevant Information/Cyber Security experience.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Security+ or similar such welcome.
  • Knowledge of implementation and management of IDS/IPS, Firewall, VPN, SIEM, vulnerability scanning and other security products is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly
  • Proven comprehension of information security including malware, emerging threats, attacks, and vulnerability management.
