About the role:
Our client is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to lead and manage technology projects across their organisation.
In this role, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity and IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical engineers, senior management, and external vendors, to drive project objectives and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion.
This is a senior role at an organisation and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.
Purpose of Role:
The role of the IT Project Manager focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible including:

  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Coordinating staff and internal resources
  • End to end project management of projects through the relevant phases including definition, design, implementation and service transition.
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Managing project financials
  • Managing relationships with clients, vendors and stakeholders
  • Managing multiple vendors to ensure they are providing services to scope, budget and time
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review, if applicable
  • Designing risk mitigation plans
  • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
  • Optimising and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Managing large and diverse teams

Experience Required

  • Five or more years’ experience of IT Project Management managing Cyber Security projects within complex organisations (Tier 1 or 2)
  • Project Management qualifications mandatory (Prince2, PMBOK, PMP, AIPM, CPPP…)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to work with a varied number and type of stakeholders from across the business
  • Experience in managing vendors as part of the project’s delivery
  • Potential to work on hardware replacement projects
  • M365 experience will be beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise work and run multiple projects simultaneously while working autonomously or collaboratively
  • Leadership skills and conflict resolution skills.
