M&T Resources has been engaged to find an exceptional Lead Engineer. This role is with an exciting Australian owned scale up in the heart of Sydney. It’s a brand-new role within a new team, in which you will be involved in building out.
  
They need someone who can build and scale client solutions, combining technical leadership with hands-on development. This role partners with their customers to design and implement tailored solutions, while leading a team of developers and testers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  
The company is healthy, and the growth phase has been triggered organically. You’ll be working hybrid with a 50% split between remote & office.
  
Responsibilities:

• Deliver secure, scalable, and fit-for-purpose technical solutions on time and budget.
• Lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Provide technical expertise across the customer lifecycle, from pre-sales to implementation and support.
• Drive positive commercial outcomes through efficient delivery of technical services.
• Ensure compliance with data confidentiality and security policies.

  
Skills & Experience:

• Proven leadership in software engineering or professional services.
• Strong technical background, ideally within the Java ecosystem.
• Experience building and managing teams and processes.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a customer-focused mindset.
• Degree qualification or equivalent experience.
