Based in Northern suburbs of Melbourne our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to their mission of delivering exceptional services.

About the role
Our client is looking for a generalist PM who can work across both infrastructure and applications with excellent stakeholder management skills and having experience working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This is a senior role and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:
The role of the IT Project Manager focuses on completing a project as efficiently and promptly as possible including:

• Leading project planning sessions
• Coordinating staff and internal resources
• End to end project management of projects through the relevant phases including definition, design, implementation and service transition.
• Managing project progress and adapt work as required and ensuring projects meet deadlines
• Managing project financials
• Managing relationships with clients, vendors and stakeholders and managing multiple vendors to ensure they are providing services to scope, budget and time
• Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
• Participating in tender process i.e. design, submission and review, if applicable
• Designing risk mitigation plans
• Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
• Optimising and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
• Managing large and diverse teams

Required skills and qualifications:

• Five or more years’ experience of IT Project Management within complex organisations (Tier 1 or 2)
• Project Management qualifications mandatory (Prince2, PMBOK, PMP, AIPM, CPPP…)
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to work with a varied number and type of stakeholders from across the business
• Experience in managing vendors as part of the project’s delivery
