Our client, a renowned software development company specialising in Mainframe-based solutions across retail, finance and healthcare sectors, is expanding its team. They are now seeking passionate Software Developers from senior to graduate level, to join their dynamic and innovative workforce in Perth’s CBD.
  
The Role
  
Working within a flexible, fun, and collaborative environment, you will focus on the client’s Mainframe products.  Key responsibilities include:
  

  • Developing high-quality code to enhance system functionality
  • Debugging and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Conducting code reviews and sharing knowledge to foster team growth
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements
  • Staying informed of current industry trends and emerging technologies in the market

  
Skills and Experience
  
To be successful you will possess the following skillset:
  

  • Proven experience coding in Mainframe z/OS Assembler (HLASM)
  • Strong understanding of ISPF, JCL, and TDS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed
  • Familiarity with Agile principles and development methodologies
  • Experience in z/OS (MVS) systems programming, software installation, and administration (SMP/E)
  • In-depth knowledge of System Z architecture and Assembler (ALC)
