Location: Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide
Period of Engagement: Initial 12-month contract with an option for up to 24 months extension

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline

About the Role

Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead and oversee complex software development projects. As part of a high-performing team, you’ll provide technical leadership, solve complex problems, and deliver custom software solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
You will guide the team through the full software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to continuous improvement within the team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage software engineering efforts, ensuring high standards of development and testing.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and mentor junior staff.
• Solve complex problems and design scalable software solutions.
• Oversee resource management, work priorities, and project delivery.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to align software solutions with business strategies.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Technical Skills Required:
Experience with the following technologies (but not limited to):

• SAP ABAP, CRM, ERP, S/4HANA, Fiori, BRF+, FI, SuccessFactors
• SAP UI, SmartForms, BOPF Framework, SAP Social Services
• Data Migration, Reporting, ETL processes
